A modified 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air presented by BluePrint Engines at the 2026 SEMA Show pairs its classic styling with a 598-cubic-inch V-8 producing 741 horsepower and 703 pound-feet of torque. Cal Automotive Creations built the restomod around a two-door Bel Air and fitted the engine with a Bowler automatic transmission.
The V-8 has a deep red finish, an EFI intake, machined valve covers and fabricated stainless-steel headers. SpinTech mufflers handle its exhaust. The car also receives suspension changes to its Art Morrison chassis, including revised rear rails and RideTech coil-overs to lower its ride height. Raised center crossmembers help keep components above the scrub line.
CAL reshaped the quarter panels, taillight bezels and front grille surround, and created the dark paint and bodywork specifically for the build. Nickel trim was supplied by Advanced Plating, while Leading Edge Machine and Design made one-off wheels finished to match the paint. Six-piston Baer brakes are among the other upgrades.
The cabin, created by CAL and Santana Interior Design, retains a classic appearance while adding Dakota Digital instrumentation and Vintage Air climate control. Its billet-machined center console includes cupholders concealed beneath a sliding armrest.
