Nissan is taking a heavily modified Pathfinder to the SEMA show with the XE-V6 concept, an off-road-focused project based on the Pathfinder Rock Creek edition. The fire truck-red SUV combines a retro-inspired livery with hardware designed to improve its capability on rough terrain.

The concept retains the Pathfinder’s naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V-6, which produces 295 horsepower. Its exhaust system has been replaced with a NISMO prototype cat-back setup. Nissan also installed a specially developed four-inch lift kit and cradle spacer to make room for the larger wheel and tire combination.

The XE-V6 rides on 18-inch NISMO prototype wheels fitted with 35-inch Yokohama Geolander mud-terrain tires. A full-size spare is mounted at the rear, alongside Nissan-branded mud flaps. The exterior upgrades also include high-clearance front and rear bumpers, rock rails and a rear bumper with tow hooks and a trailer hitch.

Protection comes from a substantial front skid plate with an integrated Warn M800S winch, complemented by additional underbody skid plates. NISMO supplies two six-inch fog lights and four-inch prototype lights mounted on the A-pillars to improve visibility on trails at night.

The interior remains largely focused on the Pathfinder’s standard comfort and convenience features. Additional storage is provided by a roof rack with a NISMO storage case and four six-inch off-road lights. A custom MOLLE panel mounted over the rear window carries a 1.75-gallon RotoPax canister, while the cargo area houses a white 45-quart NISMO ice box.
