British camper-van company Wellhouse Leisure is selling a camper conversion based on the all-electric Kia PV5 passenger van, ahead of Kia’s planned Light Camper and Camper variants. The conversion combines a full kitchen and flexible seating with two double beds, and is priced at £63,000, or about €75,500 at the exchange rate cited in the source report.

Wellhouse bases the camper on the PV5’s higher-output configuration, with a 163 hp motor, 250 Nm of torque and a 71 kWh battery. The van measures 4.69 metres long and 2.1 metres wide, with a 2.99-metre wheelbase. Its boot offers more than 1,300 litres of capacity with both rows of seats in place.

The rear bench moves along floor rails to free up cargo space and folds flat to form a double bed. The front seats swivel to create a dining area. A second double bed is built into the pop-up roof, which also provides standing room in the living area. The roof tent has windows with insect screens that can be fully closed.

The kitchen includes a two-burner induction hob, a sink with electrically pumped hot and cold water, a 42-litre fridge with a pull-out drawer and integrated freezer, and a microwave. Cabinets and drawers are built into the kitchen unit, with two more storage cupboards overhead.

Standard equipment also includes double-opening side windows with integrated blinds and insect screens, a 200 W solar panel connected to an auxiliary lithium battery, independent heating, and fresh- and grey-water tanks. A heat pump is included in the quoted price. Optional outdoor awnings are available from £290; the largest measures 3 by 3 metres and is more than 2 metres tall. Both awning options can be fitted with a two-person room.

The report does not give an electric range for the camper conversion. The standard Kia PV5 in this configuration is quoted at 412 km per charge on the mixed cycle, with consumption of 19.3 kWh per 100 km.
