Karma Automotive has introduced Eximius, a new personalization program for bespoke vehicles, and has presented its first creation, the one-off Eximius 1, at the Concours at Wynn in Las Vegas. The plug-in hybrid sedan is based on the Revero but replaces its three-cylinder range-extending engine with a 6.2-liter V-8.
The resulting series-hybrid powertrain produces a claimed 1,195 horsepower, more than 600 hp above the Revero’s output. Karma says the Eximius 1 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 mph.
To match its performance, the car features carbon-ceramic two-piece slotted brake rotors and Öhlins semi-active dampers. It is also nearly two inches wider than a standard Revero and uses carbon fiber extensively, including exposed sections on the front fenders and doors. The sedan rides on 21-inch magnesium center-lock wheels.
The track-oriented design includes a carbon-fiber front splitter, large air intakes, vents in the front fenders, a brake-cooling vent integrated into a panel marked with the number 5, a rear diffuser and a large rear wing. An exposed billet-aluminum exhaust tip adds another visual reference to the car’s performance-focused character.
Inside, blue-tinted carbon fiber appears on the seats, steering wheel, center console, doors and dashboard. The Recaro bucket seats combine blue Alcantara and leather with Moondust-colored Alcantara, while the pedals are machined from billet aluminum. Karma has also simplified the center console and added a red emergency kill switch.
Through Eximius, Karma customers will be able to request changes to a vehicle’s bodywork, powertrain and other performance components. The company says it plans to produce no more than nine bespoke vehicles based on each series-production model it launches. The Eximius 1 is scheduled for delivery to its owner in 2027.
