Jeep has revealed the Scrambler SRT concept, a modern take on the CJ-8 Scrambler that combines a two-door Wrangler-based design with a usable pickup bed. The concept marks the first time a Wrangler-branded vehicle has used independent front suspension and offers a preview of planned production Scrambler models.

Jeep developed the suspension with a Dakar-winning off-road driver. Its high-travel independent front setup is paired with a Trophy Truck-inspired rear axle, building on a design previously shown on the race-winning Gladiator Striker.

The exterior retains familiar Jeep cues but adds a retro-style grille, a prominent hood scoop and oversized fender flares. The concept is finished in Punk’n orange and wears SRT badges.

Jeep says the concept was created to explore an open-air desert-focused vehicle under the SRT banner. It has a V-8, but the company has not identified the engine. The Scrambler SRT is the first public showing of the Scrambler name since Jeep confirmed plans for its return at an investor relations day in May.

Jeep has not announced a production timeline or confirmed design and mechanical specifications. The concept is expected to preview future Scrambler models, which could arrive in 2028, with an SRT version potentially at the top of the range.
